Arnold Classic on Outdoor Life Network in August 2006

Arnold Sports Festival Newsletter tells us (update: OLN has resheduled the broadcast of the Arnold Classic. It is not being presented as announced. We will let you know the new dates when they are announced.):

Beginning Saturday, August 5 at 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 7 3:00 p.m., Outdoor Life Network (OLN), the home of the world’s greatest sporting events broadcast to more than 69 million homes nationwide – will televise the Arnold Classic Semi-Finals and the Arnold Classic Finals from Columbus, Ohio’s legendary Veterans Memorial stage.

The Arnold Classic – the Mecca for professional bodybuilders – showcases the greatest physiques in men’s bodybuilding. Some of the sport’s biggest names including Lee Haney and Tom Platz have said that their decision to compete as bodybuilders was inspired from first sitting in the back row at the Arnold Classic. Each went on to become champions in the sport and of the Classic.

The Arnold Classic – the elite event in men’s bodybuilding – features top competitors who have endured years of grueling training to be honored with an invitation to this annual competition and the chance to win the richest purse in men’s bodybuilding.”

From 2007 Arnold Sports Festival includes amateur Bodybuilding, Fitness, and Figure championships

For Immediate Release: August 4, 2006:

The Arnold Sports Festival 2007 will premiere the two-day Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding, Fitness, and Figure Championships Friday, March 2 and Saturday, March 3 in Columbus, Ohio. This exciting and inspirational two-day event will showcase the aspiring talents of top male and female competitors from across the United States vying for top amateur status in men’s and women’s bodybuilding, and women’s fitness and figure.

The Arnold Amateur Bodybuilding, Fitness, and Figure Championships is expected to attract high caliber athletes from across the United States who have already placed in the top five or won at national qualifiers. The event will be judged by top judges from the NPC (the National Physique Committee). The total number of athletes accepted to compete will be limited. The first 15 athletes who register and meet the qualifying requirements to enter the men’s and women’s bodybuilding divisions will be accepted. The first 20 Fitness athletes and Figure athletes that register and meet the eligibility requirements will be accepted into the competition. The registration deadline is January 15, 2007.

Video: Treadmill dance (OK Go – Here It Goes Again)

Once again the band OK Go uses viral marketing to get their music spread. Previous they made a video of the band members dancing syncronized in a backyard to their song “A Million Ways”. They are back, and this time they’re dancing on treadmills! More on the video at spin.com. If you like the video, the band asks you to vote on them on VH1’s Top 20 Countdown.
